    I love this place. My 4 year old knows the place by sight. My 2 year old even gets excited when he sees we are going there.

    Helpful staff, fantastic selection. Everything you want in a book shop.

    Last great pure bookstore in Cork City. There are other bargain bookstores, newsagents that sell books, but if you are looking for a good bookshop, Waterstones is your only choice. Staff are friendly and informative, there is a great store vibe and the layout is nicely done, comfortable for browsers. In the face of Amazon's giant monopoly, Waterstones soldiers on and even thrives. Long may it continue!

    Waterstones is probably the only true large scale bookstore in Ireland. Folks working at Waterstones are actually book enthusiasts and know what they are talking about, unlike the folks at Eason, who probably never read a book in their lives.
    Service is caring and attentive, they can not only discuss the books with you but also recommend similar stuff etc.
    4 stars because for some reason Waterstones website is UK only, so very much useless in Ireland. Can't find local shops to check stock, see prices in Eur.. Useless.
    Also, instead of games etc, maybe book related stuff should be offered at the stores, like clip on book reading lights (proper ones), simple book shelves, and tons of other stuff that actually goes with books..
